Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the School Streets Programme in collaboration with schools, local communities, and relevant stakeholders.
Identify suitable schools for inclusion in the programme based on criteria such as air quality, road safety, and community need.
Lead on the design and delivery of traffic management measures, such as road closures and pedestrian improvements, around selected schools.
Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of the programme, including traffic engineers, communications teams, and local residents.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of the programme, collecting data on traffic flow, air quality, and community feedback.
Manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditure is in line with agreed plans and objectives.Essential Requirements:
Experience managing projects, ideally within the transport or urban planning sector.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a range of partners and communities.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget.
