Job Title: Project Manager - Construction Consultancy

Company Overview: The company is a leading construction consultancy based in London, specializing in comprehensive Quantity Surveying services across Kent, Sussex, and Surrey. With a focus on Cost Management, Employer’s Agent, Contract Administration, Project Co-ordination, Monitoring Surveying, and preparation of Bills of Quantities, they cater to diverse sectors including residential, education, leisure, commercial, and healthcare.

Position Overview: They are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, with a focus on delivering high-quality services to their clients. The role will involve overseeing various projects across multiple sectors, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budgetary constraints, and maintaining exceptional standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

* Manage and oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

* Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to establish project objectives, requirements, and expectations.

* Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established metrics.

* Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements.

* Provide proactive leadership and direction to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.

* Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, reports, and proposals.

* Manage project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.

* Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing regular project updates.

* Ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

* Proven experience in construction project management, ideally within a consultancy environment.

* Strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying principles and practices, including Cost Management, Employer’s Agent, Contract Administration, and Bills of Quantities preparation.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

* Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).

* Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards governing construction projects.

* Professional certifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB, PMP) are highly desirable.

* Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites across Kent, Sussex, and Surrey.

Salary: £65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
