Project Manager – Long Lead Items (LLI)
Location: Derby / Hybrid

We are recruiting an experienced Project Manager – Long Lead Items (LLI) to support a major UK nuclear programme.
The role will take responsibility for the project management and oversight of critical long lead equipment from procurement and contract placement through manufacture, factory acceptance testing, transport and final delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage integrated LLI delivery plans, schedules and key milestones.
* Oversee supplier performance across schedule, cost, quality and technical requirements.
* Coordinate complex engineering procurement and manufacturing activities.
* Manage project risks, opportunities, dependencies and critical-path issues.
* Coordinate technical, quality and manufacturing surveillance activities.
* Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), hold points and witness points.
* Support commercial management including change control, milestone payments and contract compliance.
* Provide clear project reporting and updates to senior stakeholders.
* Work closely with engineering, quality, commercial, supply-chain and regulatory teams.
Experience Required
We are looking for candidates with:
* Proven Project Management experience within major engineering or infrastructure programmes.
* Experience within nuclear, energy, process, oil & gas or another highly regulated sector.
* Strong understanding of long lead equipment procurement and manufacturing.
* Experience dealing with major equipment such as forgings, pressure vessels or large mechanical/electrical plant.
* Strong supplier and stakeholder management experience.
* Knowledge of project controls, risk management and schedule management.
* Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 contracts would be advantageous.
* Nuclear manufacturing or quality experience would be beneficial.
A relevant Engineering/Project Management degree and professional Project Management qualification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 or PMP would be advantageous.
Candidates must be capable of obtaining the appropriate UK security clearance.
