Project Manager – Interior Fit-Out & Refurbishment
Staffordshire / Nationwide Projects | £60,000 – £65,000 + Package
We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join an established specialist contractor delivering fast-paced interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK.
The business has an excellent reputation within the retail, leisure and hospitality sectors, working with recognised national clients and delivering both individual projects and multi-site programmes.
Due to continued workload and a strong pipeline of projects, they are now looking to strengthen their operational team with an experienced Project Manager who understands the pace, detail and coordination required within the fit-out sector.
The Role
As Project Manager, you'll take responsibility for projects from pre-start and mobilisation through to completion and handover.
These are often fast-track projects within live or operational environments, so strong planning, communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
You'll be responsible for coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to an excellent standard.
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing projects from pre-start through to handover
*
Programming, planning and sequencing works
*
Managing Site Managers and site-based teams
*
Coordinating subcontractors and specialist trades
*
Managing fast-track fit-out programmes
*
Client and consultant liaison
*
Working closely with Commercial, Design and Procurement teams
*
Monitoring progress against programme
*
Managing health & safety
*
Maintaining quality standards throughout delivery
*
Identifying and resolving potential project issues
*
Managing variations and changes alongside the commercial team
*
Attending client and progress meetings
*
Driving snagging, completion and successful handover
Your Background
We're particularly interested in speaking with Project Managers who understand interior fit-out and refurbishment.
Experience within retail fit-out would be particularly attractive, although candidates from leisure, hospitality, commercial interiors, shopfitting or other fast-track fit-out environments will also be considered.
Ideally, you'll have:

Previous Project Management experience within fit-out/refurbishment
*
Experience managing fast-track construction programmes
*
Strong subcontractor management skills
*
Excellent programming and organisational ability
*
Good commercial awareness
*
Strong client-facing communication skills
*
Experience working within live/operational environments
*
Excellent health & safety knowledge
*
The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
*
SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid or relevant equivalents
You'll also need to be comfortable travelling to projects throughout the UK as required.
