A purpose-led construction consultancy in Birmingham is looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to work on meaningful projects while developing their career within a supportive consultancy environment.

The Project Manager will be joining a business that works across socially focused, community, residential, and built environment projects. This Project Manager role would suit a capable Project Manager who is confident supporting projects from early stages through to completion. The successful Project Manager will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior colleagues to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will support the delivery of construction projects across Birmingham and the wider Midlands, working across a varied portfolio of community-led, residential, refurbishment, and development schemes.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing project programmes, coordinating consultants, supporting procurement, preparing reports, chairing meetings, tracking risks, and liaising with contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

The Project Manager will also support Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent duties where required, helping to manage documentation, instructions, progress updates, valuations, change control, and handover processes.

This Project Manager position would suit someone who is organised, professional, and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders across socially valuable projects.

The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will have:

Prior experience working within a construction consultancy environment
Experience working as a Project Manager or a strong Assistant Project Manager ready to step up
Project experience across residential, refurbishment, community, public sector, or similar built environment schemes
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a similar construction-related subject
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or working towards a relevant professional qualification
Good knowledge of JCT contracts
Experience supporting Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent duties would be beneficial
Strong communication, organisation, and client-facing skills
A proactive, committed, and professional approach to project delivery
