Description:
A specialist project management consultancy is looking for a Project Manager to join its London office, supporting a growing portfolio of projects across London and Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with experience in NEC contracts, highways, healthcare, or wider infrastructure projects to take responsibility for challenging and varied commissions.
The Project Manager will ideally be based in South London due to regular project requirements across Sussex. This Project Manager role would suit a capable Project Manager who is comfortable managing multidisciplinary teams, contractors, programmes, risks, and client stakeholders. The successful Project Manager will join an experienced consultancy team and take responsibility for projects through both pre-contract and delivery stages.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will manage projects across London and Sussex, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
The Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, consultant coordination, procurement, risk management, change control, project reporting, and stakeholder engagement. They will chair project meetings, monitor contractor performance, manage actions, and provide clear advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Projects may include highways, healthcare, infrastructure, and wider public sector schemes. Experience working with NEC contracts would therefore be particularly beneficial.
The Project Manager will need to travel regularly to projects in Sussex, making this position particularly well suited to someone living in South London or with straightforward access to the region.
The Project Manager
The successful Project Manager will have:
Prior project management experience within a construction consultancy
Experience across highways, healthcare, infrastructure, or similar projects
Knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts would be highly beneficial

MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, CEng, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
Strong programme, risk, and change management skills

£50,000 - £58,000
Pension contribution
Professional membership support
Varied London and Sussex project portfolio

Strong client-facing responsibility
Clear career progression opportunities
Supportive specialist consultancy environment
