Description:
An established multidisciplinary construction consultancy is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team, with a particular focus on healthcare projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who has experience delivering complex schemes and wants to work within a supportive consultancy environment offering exposure to a broad range of clients and sectors.
The successful Project Manager will initially work across healthcare projects, supporting clients through the full project lifecycle from early planning and design through procurement, construction and completion. As a Project Manager, you will manage consultants, contractors and stakeholders while maintaining control of programme, risk and project objectives. Although healthcare will be a key focus, the Project Manager will also have the opportunity to work across other sectors depending on workload and individual interests.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, with a strong focus on healthcare and complex occupied environments.
Responsibilities will include managing project programmes, coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, chairing meetings, overseeing procurement, monitoring project risks and maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
The Project Manager will also support contractor management throughout construction, ensuring projects remain aligned with agreed time, cost and quality objectives. As the role develops, there will be opportunities to gain exposure to projects across other sectors within the consultancy.
The Project Manager
The successful Project Manager will ideally have:
Previous Project Management experience within a construction consultancy
Healthcare project experience or exposure to complex public or institutional buildings
Experience managing projects through multiple stages of the construction lifecycle
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Experience coordinating consultants, contractors and project teams
A relevant degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or progress towards a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous
A good understanding of procurement, programme management and project risk
An interest in working across additional sectors alongside healthcare
In Return?
£45,000 - £55,000
Strong exposure to healthcare and complex construction projects
Opportunity to work across other sectors
Professional development and chartership support
Varied client and project exposure
Clear progression within an established consultancy
