Description:
A growing construction consultancy in Manchester is seeking a Project Manager with around three years' experience to join its established team. The Project Manager will work across residential, office and hotel projects, supporting clients from early feasibility and design through to construction and completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who has developed a strong understanding of core project management processes and is ready to take greater ownership of their own commissions. The successful Project Manager will coordinate consultants, contractors and clients, while the Project Manager will gain exposure to a varied portfolio across Manchester and the wider North West. The Project Manager will join a supportive team offering clear progression and continued professional development.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will support and lead projects through feasibility, design, procurement, construction and handover. Responsibilities will include preparing programmes, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, monitoring risk and producing clear client reports.
The Project Manager will attend and chair meetings, manage actions and ensure that projects remain aligned with agreed cost, quality and programme objectives. They will also support tender processes, consultant appointments, contract administration and stakeholder communication.
Projects will include residential developments, commercial office schemes, workplace refurbishments and hotel projects. The role will suit someone who understands structured project management processes and can apply them confidently across different project types.
The Project Manager
The successful Project Manager will have:
Around three years' experience within a UK construction consultancy
A strong understanding of project management processes, governance and reporting
Experience supporting or delivering residential, office, hotel or similar property projects
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related discipline
Progress towards chartership with RICS, APM or CIOB
Knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work, procurement routes and construction contracts
Strong communication, organisation and client-facing skills
The confidence to manage multiple priorities and project workstreams
