A well-established multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is seeking a Project Manager to join its growing team. The Project Manager will deliver a varied portfolio of commercial and residential projects, working with private and public-sector clients from initial feasibility through to completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Assistant Project Manager ready to progress, or an established Project Manager seeking broader project exposure. The successful Project Manager will work closely with experienced senior colleagues while taking increasing ownership of their own commissions. The Project Manager will gain valuable client-facing experience, and the Project Manager will be supported in developing towards the next stage of their career.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will support and lead projects through feasibility, design, procurement, construction and handover. Responsibilities will include coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams, preparing programmes, monitoring risks and producing clear progress reports for clients.
The Project Manager will attend and chair meetings, liaise with contractors and stakeholders, and help ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed cost, quality and programme requirements. They will also support tender processes, consultant appointments, contract administration and project reporting.
The portfolio will include commercial refurbishments, workplace projects, residential developments and regeneration schemes. The role offers the opportunity to work across both sectors while taking on greater responsibility as experience develops.
The Project Manager
The successful Project Manager will have:
Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager within a UK construction consultancy
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related discipline
Experience supporting or delivering commercial and residential projects
Knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work, procurement and construction contracts
Progress towards chartership with RICS, APM or CIOB
Strong organisation, communication and client-facing skills
The confidence to manage multiple project priorities
A clear desire to progress within project management
