Description:

Take ownership of varied construction projects with a growing business and a strong pipeline of secured work.

EFT Construction (Part of EFT Group) is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its team following business growth. If you enjoy leading projects, solving problems and building lasting client relationships, this is an opportunity to make a visible contribution from pre-construction through to handover.

Based from their Southport head office, you’ll oversee projects across the North of England, including new builds, extensions and refurbishments. They're particularly interested in experience within healthcare, education and local authority environments, with project values typically ranging from £1m to £6m.

What’s on offer?

*

Salary of £55,000–£60,000, depending on experience.

*

£5,000 car allowance.

*

A role created through growth, within a stable business with secured work.

*

A varied project portfolio and responsibility throughout the full project lifecycle.

*

A collaborative team where your experience and judgement will count.

The role

You’ll coordinate the people, programmes and resources needed to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

*

Leading projects from pre-construction through to completion, handover and post-construction.

*

Coordinating staff, labour and subcontractors, keeping teams focused and accountable.

*

Monitoring programmes, budgets and progress, identifying issues early and driving practical solutions.

*

Building strong client relationships and leading productive site progress meetings.

*

Maintaining high standards of health and safety, including RAMS, site inspections and audits.

*

Ensuring materials and resources are available when needed.

*

Maintaining accurate site records and overseeing quality assurance, client sign-off and handover documentation.

About you

You’ll be a commercially aware construction professional who can manage competing priorities, make sound decisions and bring people with you. Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach are essential.

You’ll need:

*

Five years’ experience managing multiple construction contracts, including contracts up to £1m.

*

A thorough understanding of building methods, Building Regulations and site health and safety.

*

The ability to manage deadlines, monitor performance and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues and subcontractors.

*

NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent.

*

SMSTS, First Aid at Work, and IOSH Managing Safely or an equivalent health and safety qualification.

*

A valid Black CSCS card or equivalent.

Experience delivering healthcare, education or local authority projects, particularly new builds and refurbishments valued at £1m–£6m, would be especially relevant.
