Location: Dumfries, Scotland

Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Contracts Manager to join our team in Dumfries. As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

* Manage all aspects of assigned construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, specifications, and regulations.

* Coordinate project activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and procurement of materials and subcontractors.

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

* Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement proactive measures to mitigate delays or disruptions.

* Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure work is being carried out according to established standards and specifications.

* Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and budget forecasts.

* Manage project budgets and financial performance, tracking expenditures, analysing cost variances, and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.

* Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure optimal performance and adherence to project objectives.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role within the construction industry.

* In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

* Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

* Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
