Project Manager / Asset Management transformation

A leading financial services organisation is currently searching for Project Manager with experience in Asset Management Transformation on a 6 - 12 month contract basis.

The day rate will be £880 Umbrella per day, with the need to be in the office three days a week, based in the city.

Responsibilities for the role are;

This Project Manager role is an exciting opportunity to work with the business to manage business priority projects.

In this business facing role, you should be resourceful, energetic, and ready to hit the ground running. You'll need to work well in a team, but also be self-sufficient. You should be ready to share ideas and fresh perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project manage projects that have been prioritized according to business need by the Change Management Oversight Group.
Ensure that the project and allocated project resources remain focused on deliverables and timescales as required by the business, project steering committees and governance hierarchy within the business.
Identify and track risks, issues and actions associated with the project, ensuring these are managed to resolution.
Complete other project related tasks as required when appropriate within the project, this could include: gathering business requirements, assessing and analysing data, assisting in the definition of solutions, and the implementation of tools.
Project manage other, both technology and business related, projects and work items where necessary as directed by Head of Projects
Provide regular reporting to project stakeholders and management

Key Requirements

Experience

Exceptional Project Management skills with relevant, demonstrable experience of delivery using a variety of project management methodologies including scrum, agile and waterfall. Previous use of tools such as Confluence and Jira is preferable.
Experience of managing projects in the investment management industry is required
Excellent project planning skills with the ability to identify, track and manage dependencies from multiple sources
Excellent project financial management skills
Assimilate, translate and communicate elements of the project in a clear and concise manner
Exceptional problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity
Self-directed, adaptable, flexible and professional

Team-working / collaboration

Fantastic communicator and collaborator keen to work closely with a wide variety of teams, both technical and business
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to enable you to manage expectations. You will need to have the capability to manage both positive and negative feedback
Discover, understand and define project tasks via workshops, meetings and interviews.

Self

Assimilate, translate and communicate business requirements in a clear and concise manner
Creative problem solving skills and intellectual curiosity
Enthusiasm and willingness to encourage others
Confident when engaging with senior management
Comfortable with challenging the status-quo and offering alternative solutions
The ability to work well within a business focused delivery team
Self-directed, adaptable, flexible and professional
Ability to think strategically and understand the implications of proposed business changes to an environment with multiple systems.
