The Role for the Civils Project Manager

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Heavy Civils Project Manager to join the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing heavy civils and infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget. This role will involve close coordination with clients, subcontractors, site teams and senior management across multiple live projects.

Key Responsibilities of the Civils Project Manager

* Managing heavy civils and infrastructure projects across multiple sites

* Overseeing project delivery from planning through to handover

* Ensuring projects are delivered safely on programme and within budget

* Managing site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners

* Monitoring project performance, progress and commercial reporting

* Coordinating RAMS, health & safety documentation and compliance procedures

* Liaising directly with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders

* Supporting project planning, procurement and resource allocation

* Managing project risks, technical challenges and operational issues

* Conducting site meetings, progress reviews and reporting to senior leadership

* Maintaining strong quality standards and client relationships throughout delivery

About The Civils Project Manager

* Proven experience within heavy civils, infrastructure or specialist groundwork projects

* Strong background in project management within construction or civil engineering

* Excellent leadership and communication skills

* Ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced project environments

* Experience managing subcontractors and operational site teams

* Good understanding of health & safety regulations and industry standards

* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications preferred

* Full UK driving licence
