Company Overview:

Our client is a main contracting construction company, providing a comprehensive range of services including Industrial/Logistics, Commercial Offices, Residential, Refurbishment, Sports and Leisure, and Education projects.

We are recruiting a Project Manager on their behalf, who will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution and delivery of an Industrial/Distribution project in Basingstoke.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Project Planning and Execution:

Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project team.

Ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones, adjusting plans as necessary to mitigate risks and address issues.

Oversee the execution of construction activities according to approved plans and specifications.

Stakeholder Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies.

Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, addressing concerns and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and any deviations from the plan.

Resource Management:

Coordinate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to support project requirements.

Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and deliverables.

Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity on the construction site.

4.

Quality Control and Safety:

Implement quality control measures to ensure construction work meets regulatory standards and client expectations.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality and safety issues promptly.

Enforce site safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

5.

Risk Management:

Identify potential risks and hazards associated with the project and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Proactively address challenges and obstacles that may arise during construction, minimizing disruptions to the project schedule and budget.

Implement contingency plans as needed to address unforeseen circumstances and changes in project scope.

6.

Budget and Cost Management:

Monitor project expenses and expenditures, tracking costs against the budget and identifying areas for cost optimization.

Review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment requests from subcontractors and vendors.

Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting to senior management throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

* Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on industrial facilities projects.

* In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, techniques, and best practices.

* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

* Proficiency in project management software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and building codes.

* Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
