The Client

A specialist UK provider of fire protection solutions, who designs, installs and maintains water mist, sprinkler and associated fire suppression systems across a wide range of commercial and residential projects. With extensive industry experience and a strong focus on quality, reliability and technical expertise, the client has established a solid reputation within the fire protection sector.

The Role

In this role, you will take ownership of multiple projects from contract award through to commissioning and handover, coordinating Installation teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

A key element of the role will be maintaining detailed oversight across multiple live projects and producing clear, accurate and comprehensive consolidated reports covering all key aspects of project delivery, including, but not limited to, progress, programme, labour and resources, client liaison, commercial performance, design issues, project risks and key actions.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a portfolio of approximately 10–15 live projects at various stages of delivery.

* Coordinate and support installation teams.

* Create clear, accurate and comprehensive project reports across all allocated schemes for Director approval before formal issue to the relevant client.

* Manage projects from contract award through design, installation, commissioning and final handover.

* Maintain accurate oversight of programme, progress, labour, costs, risks, variations and outstanding actions.

* Plan and coordinate labour, materials, plant and project resources.

* Work closely with Design, Commercial and Installation teams to drive successful project delivery.

* Review technical drawings, specifications, programmes and project documentation.

* Attend site and client meetings and represent our client professionally at all times.

* Monitor project quality, programme and commercial performance.

* Carry out regular site inspections and audits.

* Proactively identify risks, delays and technical issues and drive them through to resolution.

* Coordinate testing, commissioning, certification and final project handover.

Key Requirements

* Strong technical knowledge of sprinkler and/or fire suppression systems.

* Previous experience within the sprinkler, water mist or wider fire protection industry.

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple live projects.

* Strong reporting skills and the ability to collate detailed information from multiple projects into concise and accurate management reports.

* A practical understanding of installation, testing and commissioning.

* The ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

* Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

* The confidence to manage site teams and liaise directly with clients and main contractors.

* A proactive and commercially aware approach to project delivery
