A leading consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join its London team, working on major infrastructure and public-sector programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with strong procurement and stakeholder management experience to take a key role in the delivery of high-profile projects, working alongside clients, consultants and contractors.

You will be responsible for managing and leading key procurement activities, ensuring projects are effectively planned, procured and delivered while maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take a leading role in major procurement exercises and project delivery activities, including:

Managing and leading key procurement processes from inception through to completion

Acting as a key stakeholder throughout major consultant and contractor procurements

Managing procurement strategies, programmes and delivery milestones

Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and external consultants

Managing key stakeholder relationships across clients, consultants and contractors

Supporting the preparation of procurement documentation and tender processes

Monitoring project budgets, programmes, risks and deliverables

Providing clear project reporting and commercial updates to senior stakeholders

Identifying and managing project risks and issues

Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with agreed objectives and governance requirements

Providing leadership and direction throughout the procurement and delivery process

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on major infrastructure programmes, including significant education, skills and community-focused developments.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in project delivery and procurement.

You should have:

Proven experience managing complex construction or infrastructure projects

Strong procurement and tender management experience

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams

Strong understanding of project governance, risk, programme and budget management

The confidence to operate as a key stakeholder on major procurements

Excellent organisational and reporting skills

A professional qualification such as APM, RICS, CIOB or equivalent would be advantageous

Experience working within major infrastructure, public-sector or education programmes would be particularly beneficial.
