Project Manager - Refinery Optimisation Projects

Do you have experience delivering capital projects on complex brownfield sites?
Are you comfortable working closely with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations, and HSE?

What will you be doing?
·Managing refinery optimisation and capital equipment installation projects on a brownfield COMAH site
·Taking responsibility for project delivery, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder management
·Working closely with HSE, operations, engineering design teams, and construction
·Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently
·Supporting the construction team during installation and commissioning phases
·Providing updates and presenting project progress to senior and executive management
·Managing project risks, change control, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle

Where will you be doing it?

You'll be joining the Capital Project Delivery Team at a major UK refinery site in Ellesmere Port. The team is responsible for delivering refinery optimisation and improvement projects across a complex operational environment. This is a fast-paced brownfield setting where collaboration between engineering, operations, construction, and HSE is critical to successful project delivery.

What you'll need:
·Previous experience managing capital projects within refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, or heavy process industries
·Strong understanding of brownfield project delivery within a COMAH environment
·Experience managing budgets, schedules, contractors, and project reporting
·Ability to communicate confidently with senior and executive stakeholders
·Strong stakeholder management skills across HSE, operations, engineering, and construction teams
·Knowledge of refinery optimisation or capital equipment installation projects
·A proactive and organised approach to project delivery
