Overall Purpose of Role
Managing installation of projects from order received to completion. This will include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope. Overseeing all aspects of projects.
Setting deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarise progress of project. Preparing reports for upper management regarding status of project.
Work Environment & Requirements
This role involves managing projects both remotely from home or in the office based in Doncaster, as well as frequent visits to customer sites. A large amount of driving will be required, and this may involve occasional overnight stays as well as the requirement to visit sites at short notice to ensure that we meet our promises made to customers.
You may need to run multiple projects therefore must be able to multi task.
General Description – Task Related
* Ensure teams are effectively deployed and workflow of materials/labour is maintained to achieve optimum efficiencies.
* Ensure quality of service and delivery is OTIF and any potential delays or deviations from agreements are effectively communicated with Regional Installation Manager, with knowledge and involvement of key stakeholders.
* Continuously monitor, review and plan most cost effective execution of team of labour, deployment thereof, tools and ancillary equipment within stringent budgetary confines.
* Effective installation management and movement of labour – ensuring timelines are managed and any delays effectively communicated upwards to ensure any claims through contractual rebates are known in a timely manner.
* Commercially astute to gain industry advantage to build sustainable growth.
* Visit project sites to inspect required works ensuring the customer’s order is fully understood and delivered to the customer’s expectations.
* Ensure Health and Safety rules and procedures are stringently adhered to, and costings include equipment to meet Health and Safety requirements.
* Resolve any issues at site.
* Attend weekly and monthly meetings with Regional Installation Manager and field based supervisors
* Continuously review and analyse contractual projects to ensure margins are optimised.
* Schedule labour in conjunction with project coordinators to plan and implement training requirements for teams. Including holiday, absence management etc.
* Facilitate the maintenance through the project coordinators of the ERP system ensuring the system is monitored and updated.
* Building strong sustainable relationships across the group with a customer-centric approach.
* Effectively performance manage through the supervisors for their team’s performance with the help and guidance of HR.
* People management including absence, performance, conduct, and recruitment of Lead Installers and Installers.
* Undertake any duties that may be requested that you are adequately trained to do.
Skills / Qualification & Skills
Essential:
DBS
Degree educated or equivalent.
Full UK Driving License.
Strong working level of ICT skills on applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Strong time management.
People management.
Desirable:
Project Management qualification.
Experience
Essential:
Experience as a Project Manager within a field based role, managing teams.
Previous experience within entrance control.
Planning and organising.
Manage workflows with multiple stakeholders in an effective and efficient manner.
Take ownership of tasks undertaken.
Knowledge of project management processes.
Budgeting and forecasting.
Multi-tasking
Desirable:
Good knowledge of perimeter protection products.
Fencing knowledge
