Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to work on high-profile infrastructure projects that make a lasting impact across the UK?

We're supporting a growing infrastructure consultancy that is expanding its project delivery team in Manchester. With a strong pipeline of work across rail, transport, energy, nuclear, aviation, and civil infrastructure, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business offering genuine career progression and exposure to major programmes of work.

The Opportunity

You'll work predominantly in a client-facing environment, managing projects through both development and delivery stages. The role will involve close collaboration with clients, consultants, contractors, local authorities, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

The project portfolio includes rail infrastructure and wider civil engineering schemes, including work associated with the TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) and other major UK infrastructure programmes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead projects from inception through to completion.
Manage project plans, programmes, budgets, risks, and reporting.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Support project development activities, including feasibility, option selection, and stakeholder engagement.
Manage project delivery and ensure objectives are achieved safely, on time, and within budget.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Support procurement activities and contract administration.
Contribute to project governance, risk management, and performance reporting.

About You

We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:

Project management experience within rail, infrastructure, civil engineering, energy, nuclear, aviation, or major construction environments.
Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
Experience working across both project development and delivery phases.
Knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls.
Experience working with Local Authorities and/or Public Sector organisations would be highly advantageous.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Relevant degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent industry experience.
Professional qualifications such as APM, PRINCE2, CIOB, or similar are beneficial.

What's on Offer?

£50,000 - £70,000 per annum
Hybrid working arrangement.
Opportunity to work on major rail and infrastructure programmes.
Diverse portfolio spanning rail, energy, nuclear, aviation, and civil infrastructure.
Clear progression opportunities within a growing consultancy.
Supportive and collaborative team environment.
If you're looking for an opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects while developing your career within a growing consultancy, we'd love to hear from you
