Project Manager

Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join one of our well-established clients in London.

Our client is a leading UK-based contractor specializing in Heavy Civils, RC Frames, and Groundworks.

Requirements:

Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a £5m RC Frame and Groundworks project.
Manage the project from pre-construction through to handover.
Develop, monitor, and manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones are achieved.
Lead site teams, including Engineers, Site Managers, Supervisors, and subcontractors.
Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Maintain regular communication with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor resources effectively.
Identify and mitigate project risks and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Work closely with the commercial team to manage project costs, variations, and contractual matters.
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
Review and approve RAMS, construction methodologies, and site documentation.
Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards.
Prepare and submit project reports to senior management.

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Project Manager within the RC Frame and Groundworks sector.
Experience successfully delivering projects valued between £3m and £15m+.
Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, planning, and resource management.
Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.
Ability to build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and project planning software.
HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
SMSTS Certificate.
CSCS Black Card or appropriate management-level CSCS card.
First Aid at Work Certificate.
Temporary Works Coordinator (advantageous).
Relevant industry qualifications and memberships are desirable.
