Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a growing infrastructure business, delivering projects across the Power sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a background in civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure who enjoys managing projects from initial planning through to completion.

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects across a range of power infrastructure sites, including substations and associated civil engineering works. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Flexibility to travel and work away from home across the UK is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Manage projects from initial planning and mobilisation through to completion and handover.

*

Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets and resource requirements.

*

Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors.

*

Monitor project progress against agreed timescales, costs and quality standards.

*

Ensure all project activities comply with health, safety and environmental requirements.

*

Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders and delivery teams.

*

Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues and changes.

*

Monitor project costs, prepare progress reports and manage commercial performance.

*

Attend site meetings and travel to project locations as required.

*

Ensure project documentation, records and handover information are maintained accurately.

Qualifications:

*

Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure or a related construction sector.

*

Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.

*

Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, health and safety, and quality management.

*

Experience coordinating site teams, subcontractors and multiple stakeholders.

*

Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

*

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and work away from home as project requirements dictate.

*

Relevant industry qualifications, such as SMSTS, alongside a recognised project management or construction qualification, would be advantageous.

*

Previous experience on National Grid or other high-voltage utility projects would be desirable. Relevant competencies or authorisations, such as National Grid Person (Substations), BESC/AME, or Competent/Authorised Person status, would be an advantage.

Benefits:

*

Company vehicle and fuel card.

*

24 days' annual leave plus a Christmas shutdown.

*

Continued professional development, with training costs covered.

*

Yearly appraisals and progression opportunities.

*

Opportunity for a Project Manager to develop their career within the growing Power and infrastructure sector.
