Our client is a world leading organisation with sites across the UK. They are looking to recruit a Project Management Officer for a period of at least 12 months (then to be reviewed) to join their friendly operational excellence project management team.

You will work in the Project Management Office providing a comprehensive programme and project service to stakeholders, delivering a range of continuous improvement projects supporting supply chain operations, with the potential to take the lead in managing a sub-set of projects.

The role will require excellent project support and co-ordination skills, with an ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.

You will have experience of working in a project role, either directly on projects or within a PMO environment. You will be an effective communicator, highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage your time effectively to ensure you can deliver to project deadlines.

As a Project Management Officer; your main responsibilities will be to:

* Develop and manage project documentation, systems and KPI reporting, working with project managers, teams, and stakeholders to ensure all projects are consistently applying project standards, business processes and regulatory requirements

* Work effectively with project managers to provide guidance and support in project governance and systems

* Co-ordinate and produce status reports providing information to stakeholders and steering groups, provide support to identification of risks and issues, escalating where required and identifying resource bottlenecks early

* Carry out a range of project management office activities through planning, monitoring, reporting, communicating and close-out of projects

* Run reporting processes, coordinating inputs from a range of projects, and supporting risk, quality, and budget management activities

* Lead designated smaller sub-projects/activities as needed, provide facilitation support to project workshops and meetings

The Individual we are looking for will have the following skills and experience:

* Experience in programme co-ordination/administration

* Experience of working within a structured project management framework

* Microsoft Office and proficient IT skills

* Knowledge of project management tools and techniques such as PRINCE2

* Degree or equivalent

* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills

* Detail-oriented tracking of actions

* Previous experience of document management and preparation of project reports

* Excellent organisation and time management skills
