Our client specialises in design, manufacturing and support advanced systems for civil and military applications. They’re seeking a Project Engineering Manager to spearhead technical leadership on projects, driving the development of cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead multi-disciplinary teams to develop cost-effective, safe, and compliant solutions.
* Outline work packages, design approaches, budgets, and schedules.
* Create, review, and approve technical documents and engineering calculations.
* Develop presentation packs for formal development reviews.
* Generate safety documentation, including hazard logs.
* Approve technical specifications for sub-contractors.
* Formulate test schedules and lead testing activities.
* Manage team performance to meet schedule and budget.
* Conduct professional development reviews and support engineer development.
Skills & Experience
* Technical Degree/equivalent qualification or experience.
* Strong understanding of Systems Engineering Life Cycle.
* Versatile skills applicable across a wide range of projects.
* Experienced in planning and delivering tasks on schedule and within budget.
* Demonstrated ability to coach and guide team members for development & delivery.
* Solid understanding of product safety, standards, and technical risk management.
* Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, including riveting, bonding, and fabricating
