We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer to join the team.

Job Purpose / Overview

As a Project Engineer you'll support the definition or validation the SZC Technical Requirements and Specification, including engagement with SZC Design Authority. Manage technical Open Points and Design Changes which would include supporting progression through the technical governance processes including Replication Principles, Technical Direction Forum (TDF), No Change Committee (NCC) and Non-Permanent Works Change Committee (NPWCC). Furthermore, you will support the Design Technical Assurance for the end-to-end design and ensuring SZC acceptance can be provided, including reviews and approvals as defined by the surveillance plans.

Principal Accountabilities

Support the co-ordination on technical interfaces with other parties, for example Site Establishment and Off-Site Infrastructure; NI Programme; CIBOP Programme; and Sizewell B
Ensure compliance is met with SZC Engineering and Design processes, e.g., Design Management Plans, to deliver the whole lifecycle of the Design, from Technical Requirement capture to EDR.
Collaborate with the team in delivery of design in accordance with the Contract Schedule's under their management and linked to the Integrated Work Schedule (IWS).
Responsibility for accompanying risk management through Risk Management Processes. Liaising with the Design Manager you will keep a close eye on Early Warnings, Compensation Events, Technical Queries, General Communications etc from L3 Design Supply Chain, including engagement with relevant SZC and RD technical stakeholdersKnowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

Degree or equivalent engineering.
Extensive Project Management experience on mega projects
Experience in heavy civils engineering structures, desirably within the concrete and structural steel sector.
Proven experience in managing designs and teams, including integration, design and delivery management, as well as have previous experience working with technically focused teams.
The ability to communicate and engage effectively at within the project team is essential and if required across a range of levels including Management Team, SZC stakeholders, design delivery teams, Design Authority, Regulators etc.Join the Future of Energy!
