Project Engineer – Sizewell C - Contract - Outside IR35
We are recruiting an experienced Project Engineer to support a major infrastructure package on the Sizewell C nuclear project, specifically focused on railway level crossing upgrades. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering technically challenging civil engineering works on one of the UK’s largest schemes.
The Role
Manage engineering delivery of railway level crossing upgrade works
Coordinate site engineering activities, including setting out and quality control
Review and implement RAMS, ITPs, and technical documentation
Work closely with Site Agents, Section Engineers and subcontract teams
Liaise with client, Network Rail representatives, and stakeholders
Ensure works are delivered in line with project programme, specifications, and safety requirements
Support commercial team with progress reporting and change management
Maintain accurate site records, as-builts, and QA documentation
Requirements
Proven experience as a Project Engineer / Senior Engineer within civil engineering
Strong background in railway / level crossing / rail infrastructure works - essential
Familiar with Network Rail standards and procedures
Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
Competent in setting out, QA, ITPs, and RAMS
Current valid PTS - essential
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
