Engage Talent Partners are working exclusively with our client to source and recruit a Project Engineer.
Based just South of Aberdeen, the company operate in the oil and gas, nuclear, renewables and industrial sectors and you would be joining them during a very exciting time. The business has enjoyed a successful year to date with some high-profile contract wins and aspire to grow over the next few years.
The main purpose of the role is to lead client projects from initial kick off meeting through design, manufacturing and installation stages whilst liaising with internal stakeholders and the client. You will also contribute to the initial proposal with technical and cost information.
Responsibilities:
* Design, engineering and requisitioning of project materials for projects you are deployed upon.
* Working in conjunction with the project management and planning personnel, input into the work plan and to accomplish project goals.
* Engaging with the Project Managers and Project Planners on project financial changes to define project variance.
* Providing technical and commercial input with the preparation of proposals.
* Assist with the development of the company’s relationships with existing and new clients.
* Managing interfaces with other design contractors and suppliers.
* Communicate with the workshop and engineering manager for the assembly and testing of package & proprietary equipment
* Ensure all documentation used during or resulting from any projects are controlled in accordance with the company quality procedures.
* Occasional site visits where required pursuant with the execution of the project works.
The ideal candidate will have experience from a similar role with a mechanical engineering or instrumentation engineering background. You will have a positive attitude and a solution driven mindset and be able to work on your own initiative to meet challenging deadlines.
