Project Engineer - Water
£50,000-£55,000
Aldershot
We're working with a leading water and wastewater solutions business looking for an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of multidisciplinary engineering projects across the water sector.
This role offers the opportunity to manage projects from design through to commissioning and handover, working closely with clients, design teams, subcontractors and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
Manage engineering projects from design through to commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality standards.
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and review technical drawings, calculations and documentation.
Act as a key technical contact for clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
Support site activities, installation, testing and commissioning.
Monitor project progress, budgets, risks and programmes.
Support procurement, cost control and change management.
Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, WIMES, BS 7671 and client specifications.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
About You
Proven experience delivering engineering projects within water, utilities, infrastructure, industrial or construction environments.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors and suppliers.
Strong understanding of project programmes, budgets, risk management and technical deliverables.
A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Process or a related engineering discipline.
Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence.
Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.Professional membership or working towards chartership, project management qualifications such as APM or PRINCE2, and SMSTS/SSSTS or health and safety qualifications would be advantageous.
