The job you’ll do:
* Support Project Managers in the successful delivery of assigned contracts from initiation through to completion.
* Plan, schedule, and coordinate all project-related activities, both internally and externally, to ensure the efficient execution of contracts for the supply of equipment and services.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all contractual deliverables are completed and submitted in accordance with project requirements.
* Coordinate the procurement of goods and services required to fulfil contractual obligations.
* Monitor project expenditure, ensuring budgets are maintained and identifying opportunities for cost savings where possible.
* Define project scope, activities, sequencing, and estimated durations to develop realistic and achievable project schedules using the EPMS.
* Work closely with Procurement teams to ensure the timely sourcing and delivery of materials and services.
* Collaborate with the Quality department to develop project Inspection, Test and Quality Plans.
* Maintain clear and effective communication across all business functions to support successful project delivery.
* Monitor and manage project labour hours to ensure efficient resource utilisation.
* Control project costs, including materials, services, and labour, to ensure delivery within approved budgets.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication, reducing uncertainty and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
* Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies to minimise their impact on project delivery.
About you:
* Experience working within a Mechanically focused role within Engineering/Manufacturing (Project Management preferable)
* Ideally qualified in a relevant Engineering/Project related discipline (NVQ, HNC, HND, Degree etc.)
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
* Well organised and self-motivated
* Able to work well both independently and within a team
* IT Literate
