Project Director - Construction
Our client is a very successful main contractor specialising in the construction of large-scale residential and student accommodation projects as principal contractors. There is a family-feel culture despite their size and involvement in landmark projects.
As a Project Director, you will lead a dynamic team and oversee the successful delivery of a high-value projects with multi section managers in the Manchester area. Your expertise and leadership will be crucial in ensuring that the project meets quality standards, adheres to timelines, and exceeds key repeat client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the project team, including project managers, site managers, section managers, engineers, and subcontractors, to achieve project objectives.
* Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors, maintaining open communication channels and resolving any issues promptly.
* Oversee compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety and accountability on-site.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lessons learned to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Project Director or similar leadership role within the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
* Strong understanding of construction project management principles, processes, and best practices.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals.
* Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale projects.
* Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
