Project Credit Controller - 1 day per month in London office

Description:

I am currently working with a high growth client of mine, who due to a series of recent acquisitions and an upcoming ERP roll out, are looking to bring on a credit control contractor for a twelve month period to manage a ledger of key accounts while the manager is on secondment.

They are looking for a highly motivated individual with a genuine flair and enjoyment of relationship building and external stakeholder management, but also someone who enjoys the more technical side of credit control too, with strong Excel skills and ideally some prior experience of netting as an added bonus.

The role will be almost entirely home based with a day month in the office which is based in the City of London. To be a good fit you will need to be able to do this commute when required.

The rate given is also via an umbrella company.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the UK entity covering EMEA and APAC
Cash collection for outstanding debts.
Preparing netting statements, working with accounts payable and finance.
Allocating and chasing self-bill customers
Managing system changes and development.
Daily posting of cash to accounts receivable system and to the billing system.
Working with Sales and internal departments to resolve issues and disputes.
Account reconciliations.
Ensuring company credit policy is adhered to.
Weekly and monthly debtor reporting to Credit Manager and Sales.
Ad hoc duties as required and to provide cover for holidays/sicknessSkills & Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial environments preferably one of which must be international credit, dealing with overseas clients
Managing process and system changes
Focused on delivery of company KPIs, working to deadlines
Good account reconciliation skills
Strong attention to detailPerson Specification

Ability to adapt to ongoing process and system changes
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships. Must be confident and assertive
Influencing/negotiating skills to effectively manage internal departments and external customers
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
