We are an Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer based in the North-East of England, with over 40 years of experience in manufacturing critical subsea components and systems. We have recently joined the Express Engineering Group who employ more than 300 employees across the two companies, Express Engineering (Fabrications) (trading as QA Weld Tech) and Express Engineering (Gateshead).

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Coordinator to join our team, with a clear path towards developing into a Project Manager role.

The Role

The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting our project management team. You will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of various projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and grow within the company, with a structured development program aimed towards a future Project Management role.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones.

* Communicate with clients to identify project requirements, and update them on progress.

* Coordinate project activities, resources, and information.

* Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.

* Ensure that clients’ needs are met as the project evolves.

* Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.

* Support the project management team in the delivery of projects.

* Attend and contribute to project meetings and provide detailed updates on project progress.

Essential Requirements

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

* A proactive approach with a problem-solving attitude.

* Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Preferred Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.

* Previous experience in project coordination or a similar role.

* Experience within Oil & Gas Fabrication or Manufacturing
