Project Controllers are a crucial part of a project team, making sure that projects are running to plan and when they’re not, the problems are identified, and the right actions are taken.
What you’ll be doing as a Project Controls Apprentice
Project Control is a key profession in the exciting world of delivering construction projects. It helps organisations to make sure they are doing the right projects and are doing them right.
You will be:

Controlling change - Controlling the scope of a project.
Controlling quality - Ensuring that the project’s deliverables fulfil their requirements.
Scheduling - Ensuring that activities happen on time.
Cost control - Ensuring the work is performed within budget.
Managing risk, and problems and identifying issues. (and obtaining external help to resolve them)
Making sure that the project leads to benefits for the organisation.
When you join, you’ll become part of our thriving apprentice network and enjoy a comprehensive and tailored induction programme. This will be followed by a bespoke development programme to support your personal and professional development and enhance your career progression. As part of this, you’ll get involved in a range of activities and gain knowledge in areas such as mental health and wellbeing, sustainability and health and safety. In addition, you’ll join a variety of events, including our annual raft race.

Developing engineers can also work towards the competencies set out by the Engineering Council’s UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC) through the Monitored Professional Development Scheme (MPDS).

Working hours: 36
Programme Length: 28 Months
Training provider details: London Metropolitan College – College attendance is bi-weekly and teaching takes place online.
Other immediate demands: A full UK driving license is desirable but not essential.
Entry Requirements for this apprenticeship include Maths & English GCSE Grade 4/C or above/ Functional Skills Level 2 in Mathematics and English.
Don’t worry if you don’t have your grades yet, if you are due to sit your exams this year, we still want to hear from you if your predicted grades meet our requirements.

Competitive starting salary of £20,000.
