We're on the hunt for a dynamic Project Consultant who can deliver top-notch results that exceed client expectations. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a creative and critical thinking environment and are proactive in managing commissions.

Location

This role can be based in Edinburgh, Leeds, or Dublin.

Key Responsibilities

As Project Consultant, you will:

* Take the helm as project lead, business analyst, and programme support on assigned commissions.

* Offer practical, customised advice to clients.

* Analyse situations and data, and communicate information effectively.

* Deliver robust outputs on commissions within the agreed scope and budget.

* Manage your workload proactively and communicate any issues promptly.

* Report progress to both the client and Senior Leadership Team.

* Deepen your understanding of best practice methodologies to tailor the best approach for the client.

* Create presentations/documents/slides that communicate recommendations or highlight key insights for the target audience.

* Support business development activities, including contributing to proposals and tender processes, identifying areas of development or future opportunities, and reporting on activities agreed in the Business Plan.

* Promote the brand through professional networking and industry events.

* Deliver commissions in line with thr Integrated Management System (IMS).

* Drive your own development and career progression plan.

About You

You:

* Hold a degree qualification recognised within the UK & Ireland (or equivalent work experience/apprenticeship programme).

* Have a minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience in a relevant field of expertise and are working towards chartered membership of a relevant professional institution.

* Hold or are working towards a formal project professional qualification (such as APM PMQ, PRINCE 2 or PMP).

* Have experience managing projects and/or programme activity, preferably at the initial stages of project initiation/set-up, ideally within public transport or energy infrastructure environments.

* Understand the application of best practice project management methods, controls, and processes.

* Possess problem-solving capabilities and can make robust and clear conclusions and recommendations.

* Have strong interpersonal skills and can build robust and trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

* Are a confident communicator across different formats and mediums (e.g., verbal, written, virtual).

* Can support the facilitation of workshops and meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.

* Are flexible in your approach and are willing to travel as business need arises.

* Are committed to personal continuous development & improvement.
