Description:
Our client is a privately owned residential developer specialising in the creation of exceptional, high-end apartments across prime London locations. Their boutique developments typically range from 8 to 10 exclusive units per project, built to the absolute highest standards of design, quality, and craftsmanship.
As a growing and dynamic team, they pride ourselves on attention to detail, precision execution, and a hands-on approach to luxury development. They are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Assistant to join our delivery team.
The Role
Reporting directly to the project delivery team, the Project Assistant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the sites. You will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support across various stages of construction, procurement, and sub-contractor management.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to deepen their hands-on experience in high-end residential construction within a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Procurement Support: Assist the team with sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials, fixtures, and fittings suitable for high-end residential specifications.
* Sub-Contractor Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for sub-contractors on-site, helping to coordinate schedules, track compliance documentation, and manage day-to-day communications.
* General Site Administration: Maintain comprehensive project files, manage document control, update tracking logs, handle correspondence, and prepare meeting minutes or reports.
* Logistics & Delivery Coordination: Coordinate material deliveries to site to ensure seamless flow with construction phases while minimizing disruption.
* H&S and Compliance Support: Assist in maintaining health and safety records, inductions, and site documentation.
* General Project Duties: Support the project managers and site teams with ad-hoc operational tasks, quality control tracking, and client/architect handover documentation as required.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience: Previous exposure to the construction industry in a similar role (e.g., Project Administrator, Assistant Coordinator, or Junior Project Manager support within construction/property development).
* Industry Passion: A keen interest in high-end residential property development and construction delivery.
* Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and professional manner when dealing with sub-contractors, suppliers, and senior stakeholders.
* Organizational Skills: Exceptional administrative skills with high attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* IT Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with project management or document control software is a plus.
* Location Flexibility: Comfortable traveling to and working across our various boutique development sites throughout London.
