Job Description Summary
To assist the site team with the day-to-day upkeep and maintaining of the site documentation including management of drawings, site files and associated paperwork along with other tasks as and when requested by the site / project manager
Duration
6 month rolling contract on a 2-year project
Job Duties
Arrive for work in a fit and suitable condition
Work closely with the site management team to ensure that safe and effective delivery of the project
To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively
To perform other duties as directed by your line manager or management team
To comply with the relevant Company HSQE and welfare policy provisions
To ensure operative records are accurate and kept up to date
Project filing using document management software.
Document management and filing including site drawings
Distribute incoming mail and arrange courier / postal deliveries for site
Raise purchase orders through company management information system (MIS)
Supporting supplier set up in MIS
Process client bills and invoices for payment through company system
Coordinate travel arrangements and any other internal services for various site project needs.
Preparing minutes from Project Manager/team meetings.
Prepare correspondence, reports and other documents as requested.
Assist in clericals needs on construction projects and any other duties as assigned.
Remotely assist other sections of the business including mid and senior level management
Organize and manage preparation for the Considerate Constructor Scheme visits and audits
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Full UK driving licence (and own vehicle)
CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically and make quick and sound decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels within an organization.
Ability to track and follow up on multiple items with various timelines.
Excellent verbal / written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe and/or Bluebeam, and PowerPoint is required.
Basic knowledge of SharePoint, customer relationship management software and Microsoft Teams preferred
Desirable:
Previous experience in a substation environment
SSEN Cat 1
Experience with one or more cost management systems preferred.
Physical Requirements
Site office-based role. Must have the ability to safely manoeuvre around a construction site including uneven and rough terrain on foot for a minimum of 10 hours per day.
For the office element they must have the ability to use repetitive hand motion and the ability to grasp and type using general office equipment. Must be able to sit for long periods of time, talk, hear, walk and stand. Must be able to lift and or move up to 10 pounds.

Requires the ability to collect and analyse information to make decisions. Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and solve problems; the ability to articulate and speak in front of others; the ability to work under stressful situations, good cognitive skills, ability to maintain accuracy in work, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time. Must have the ability to understand and apply written/verbal instructions
Schedule and Work Activities
40 hours per week, based on 5 x 8-hour days with travel to client offices/sites

The individual should be able to book and arrange all of their own travel and accommodation
