Position: Assistant Project Controller
Location: Norwich, Norfolk, UK
Salary: £40,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday

We are searching for an experienced Assistant Project Controller to join our client's dynamic team and contribute to their continued success.

About the Role:

As an Assistant Project Controller, you will play a vital role in managing financial tasks to ensure the smooth operation of projects. You will support a small administrative team and maintain a healthy cash position for ongoing projects. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong negotiation skills, and can work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead meetings with project managers to review invoicing requirements.
- Assist in compiling contract deliverables for timely invoicing and approval.
- Participate in weekly cash reviews and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and address financial concerns during project execution.
- Resolve client conflicts impacting cash position.
- Identify cash-related risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Foster inter-departmental collaboration to ensure smooth project transitions.
- Provide guidance and support to the operational team in various administrative tasks.

Essential Skills:

- Effective reporting of project progress to stakeholders and management.
- Excellent negotiation, contract management, and customer resolution skills.
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and integrate with project managers.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills and proactive work approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Desirable Skills:

- Background in project execution.
- Proven experience in a financial operations role.
