Description:
Central is currently recruiting for a Progression Coach, to work in the Bromley area. The service provides support to 16 young people with complex needs.
The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Friday, covering early (8AM - 4PM), mid (10AM - 6PM) and late (2PM - 10PM) shifts.
Temporary cover is required for approximately 3 months, with the possibility of extension. The pay rate is £13.70 per hour, with £1.65 holiday pay, totalling £15.35 per hour.
In this position, you will be expected to;
* Hold a caseload of 5 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed SMART outcomes based Support Plans
* Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments
* Support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations
* Have responsibilities as part of the team for ensuring the health and safety of the environment for clients, staff, visitors and volunteers through regular checks and reporting.
* Deliver one to one and group support opportunities within the accommodation and local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with
* Be flexible, reflective and creative in your engagement with clients and personalised in your support to them
* Assist in preparing the accommodation for new clients to move into and supporting the client to settle in
* Carry out housing management duties, coordinating repairs, updating risk assessment and banking
* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service at all times possible including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable
Please note, this role involves lone working.

* Experience of working with young people with complex needs such as homelessness, poor mental health and substance use
* Experience of holding a caseload, conducting support plans, risk assessments and needs assessments
* An understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures
* The ability to establish and maintain professional relationships and boundaries with clients.
* Experience working in partnership with multi agency team
* Be willing to work flexible hours which could be at other sites from time to time

Further requirements:
In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Current valid right to work in the UK
* Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)
* A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £50)
* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
