Programme Manager 

Are you an experienced Programme Manager or Construction Manager looking to work on one of the UK's most prestigious infrastructure programmes?

Our client is a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK. They are looking to appoint an experienced Programme Manager to join their team on the Sellafield Infrastructure Delivery Programme (IDP).

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex civil engineering projects within one of the UK's most highly regulated environments, with genuine long-term career progression.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will provide leadership across multiple concurrent civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

You will work closely with project teams, client representatives, regulators and the supply chain to successfully deliver major infrastructure works across the Sellafield site.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of multiple civil engineering projects.

Manage complex civil engineering packages including groundworks, reinforced concrete, drainage, earthworks and infrastructure.

Coordinate project teams, designers and subcontractors.

Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Monitor programme, commercial performance and project risks.

Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with technical specifications and strict regulatory standards.

Support long-term programme planning and resource management.

Drive quality, safety and continuous improvement across the programme.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

Previous experience working for a Tier 1 civil engineering contractor.

A degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Proven experience delivering major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, drainage, earthworks, infrastructure and groundworks.

Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

A good understanding of NEC contracts and commercial awareness.

The ability to manage multiple workstreams within a highly regulated environment.

Previous nuclear experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
