This role requires an experienced leader with a proven track record of delivering large-scale national programmes, managing substantial budgets, building and leading high-performing teams, and developing trusted relationships with executive and board-level stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable presenting programme governance at board level as they are challenging technical teams to drive delivery, manage risk and shape programme strategy.

Extensive experience leading complex, multi-workstream programmes at a national scale.
Proven success managing programmes involving multiple buildings, projects and diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong expertise in programme governance, reporting, controls and assurance.
Commercially astute, with responsibility for significant budgets, forecasting and overall programme performance.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including Project Managers, Building Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers and other technical specialists.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at Executive and Board level. While you are not expected to be technical specialists across every discipline, you should have a strong working knowledge of:

The Building Safety Act
Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs)
Fire safety remediation
Structural remediation
Façade remediation
Golden Thread requirements
Building Safety Regulator (BSR) processes
Gateway approvals
CDM Regulations

The ideal candidate will possess sufficient technical understanding to challenge consultants, identify programme risks, make informed strategic decisions and provide confident leadership across a complex remediation portfolio.
