Description
We are seeking an experienced Programme Delivery Manager to lead a major engineering and quality services programme.
This is not a traditional project management role.
You will be responsible for the successful mobilisation, deployment and ongoing management of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, ensuring customer satisfaction, resource availability, delivery performance and effective programme governance.
The role will oversee a team of up to 22 engineers, quality professionals and PMO resources supporting critical aerospace programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the mobilisation and ramp-up of engineering and quality resources.
Manage customer demand, capacity planning and resource forecasting.
Act as the primary customer interface for service delivery activities.
Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and deployment of resources.
Monitor service performance, utilisation and customer satisfaction.
Manage programme risks, issues and escalations.
Lead weekly and monthly governance reviews.
Develop recovery plans for resource gaps, demand increases and delivery issues.
Maintain programme reporting, KPIs and performance dashboards.
Support commercial discussions, change requests and growth opportunities.
Within the first six months, you will:
Successfully manage the ramp-up of engineering and quality resources.
Establish robust governance and reporting.
Maintain strong customer satisfaction.
Ensure resource demand and capacity remain aligned.
Identify and mitigate delivery risks proactively.
Create a scalable operating model capable of supporting future growth.

Ramp-up experience - Proven delivery of 10 + personnel
Stakeholder management - Able to manage customer, engineering, quality and leadership teams effectively

Aerospace/engineering experience - Understands realities of technical resource delivery and customer environment
Requirements:
Experience managing engineering or technical services teams.
Experience mobilising or scaling teams of 15+ resources.
Strong customer-facing stakeholder management skills.
Experience in aerospace, defence or regulated industries.
Commercial awareness including forecasting, utilisation and resource planning.
Proven track record managing risks, escalations and customer expectations.
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
