Job Title: Program Director IT

Job Summary

The Program Director will be responsible for leading and managing large-scale IT programs across multiple business units, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, quality, and timeline. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, governance, delivery excellence, and strategic planning capabilities. The Program Director will work closely with senior leadership, clients, delivery teams, technology partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive business outcomes through effective program execution.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex IT programs across application development, infrastructure, cloud, digital transformation, cybersecurity, or enterprise technology initiatives.
Own program strategy, execution roadmap, governance model, delivery milestones, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes.
Manage multiple projects under a program portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
Drive program planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and financial governance.
Engage with senior stakeholders, business leaders, clients, vendors, and internal delivery teams to ensure seamless program execution.
Establish program governance mechanisms, including steering committees, status reviews, risk reviews, and executive reporting.
Identify, track, and mitigate program risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, delivery methodologies, compliance requirements, and organizational processes.
Lead cross-functional teams including project managers, architects, technical leads, business analysts, QA teams, and operations teams.
Monitor program performance using KPIs, SLAs, milestones, budget utilization, and delivery metrics.
Drive continuous improvement, automation, productivity enhancement, and process optimization across programs.
Support change management, transformation initiatives, and adoption of new technologies or delivery models.
Build strong client relationships and contribute to account growth, renewals, and business expansion opportunities.
Mentor and guide project/program managers to build delivery maturity and leadership capability.
Required Skills and Competencies

Strong program management and delivery leadership experience in an IT services, product, or consulting environment.
Excellent understanding of IT delivery lifecycle, SDLC, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, and client engagement skills.
Proven experience managing budgets, resource planning, vendor relationships, and program governance.
Ability to manage complex, multi-team, multi-location, and multi-technology programs.
Strong risk management, issue resolution, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Good understanding of cloud platforms, enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, AI/automation, or digital transformation programs.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, global delivery environment. Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
MBA or master's degree preferred.
PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Agile, Scrum Master, ITIL, or cloud certifications will be an advantage.
Experience

Insurance and Finance background is must
15+ years of overall experience in IT program/project delivery.
8+ years of experience in program management or large-scale delivery leadership.
Experience managing global teams, enterprise clients, large budgets, and strategic transformation programs. Key Performance Indicators
