I am working with a manufacturing company in Leigh-On-Sea. They are seeking a number of Assembly Operatives to help assemble materials both manually and using semi-automatic equipment.
This is light assembly work. No heavy lifting.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 2pm - 10pm
Pay rate: £11.44 per hour (plus holiday pay on top). Overtime is paid at time and a half for any hours worked over the 37.5 hours per week.
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: Until September with likelihood of extension.
Main responsibilities of the Assembly Operatives will include: * Assembling fabricated parts at floor stations
* Testing and calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
* Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications
* Identify units that fail test or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary
Ideal candidate profile:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Relevant assembly experience
* Must be fully committed to achieving the team's objectives and targets.
* Fully conversant with all aspects of the assembly systems.
* Must be proactive towards improvement ideas/programs.
* Must be self motivated and able to work using their own initiative.
* Must be familiar with all associated quality standards.
* Must be willing to adapt to new working practices and techniques.
* Flexible approach must be willing support in all areas of the Decorative Value Stream.
* Good communicator at all levels.
Must be self-motivated and able to work using their own initiative. Flexible approach and willing to support in other areas.
Good hand eye co-ordination required for the assembly of small components by hand.
Previous experience in the assembly of small components is useful.
