Production Technician - UAV Manufacturing

The Opportunity
I am partnering with a rapidly growing defence technology company developing advanced unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for military and security applications.
This is a hands-on production role at the heart of UAV manufacturing. You'll be responsible for preparing and bonding carbon fibre airframes before they move into final assembly, helping transform composite structures into operational aircraft.
Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll follow detailed build instructions, maintain high quality standards, and play a direct role in delivering critical capability to end users.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare carbon fibre UAV airframes for assembly and integration
Mix, apply, and cure adhesives in line with manufacturing specifications
Follow manufacturing orders and work instructions accurately, including curing and process timings
Carry out self-inspection of completed work and identify any defects
Maintain quality standards while working to production deadlines
Work closely with production and assembly teams to ensure efficient workflowEssential Experience & Skills
Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
Experience carrying out precise hands-on assembly, bonding, or similar technical work
Ability to follow written instructions and manufacturing processes accurately
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
Strong focus on quality and accuracy
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
Able to commute to Hereford on a daily basisDesirable Experience
Composite bonding, lay-up, trimming, or finishing experience
Aerospace, automotive, marine, motorsport, or advanced manufacturing background
Ability to read engineering drawings or technical documentation
Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment
Previous experience within a quality-controlled manufacturing environment
Engineering or manufacturing qualification/apprenticeship
