LINKS Recruitment Group are pleased to present a new Team Leader role that will play an integral part of the manufacturing/production team that offers the opportunity to work within a leading company based in Magor who are continuously growing and achieving company goals year on year.
In this role, you be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Production team. You will lead a group of staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing resources effectively, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Responsibilities:
* Organising tasks/workload for the allocated team and other associated staff
* Implement working practices and deadlines set by the Production Supervisor.
* Ensuring that quality standards are implemented and adhered to.
* Briefing the team with daily responsibilities and delegating tasks
* Training, coaching, and mentoring are a key skill required for helping staff reach their professional development goals.
* Ensure workloads, tasks, etc. have been set and monitor teams progress against targets.
* Report any production processes that could be revised to the Production Supervisor
* Compiling staff rotas, dealing with leave requests, and arranging cover when necessary due to illness, etc.
* Carry out toolbox talks and document attendance and understanding of subject matter.
* Liaise with Internal stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in a team leading, supervisory or people management role
* Knowledge and experience in the steel industry is advantageous.
* A confident communicator
* Proficient in Microsoft packages
* IT literate with experience in all the main software packages

Salary: £32,200
Shifts: Days Based - 6am-3pm Mon-Thursday – Friday 6am-12:30pm
