Production Team Leader

We are sourcing a Production Team Leader for a vibrant and exciting client in the Poole area. Our client are a respected and driven business within the manufacturing and engineerig sector. As Production Team Leader, you will come from a lean manufacturing and engineering, ideally having been a hands on machine shop engineer yourself.

Key respnsibilities as Production Team Leader:

Lead and mentor a small team of engineers, managing all team matters that would require any HR input and guidance
Manage lean manufacturing processes and proceedures, ensuring best practices for efficiency and production output
Work with the 6S system to ensure continous improvement and lean manufacturing principles are in place, advising on any improvements if necessary
Setting team targets, KPI's
Responsible for ensuring implementation and adherence with regards to Health and Safety, Quality and Cost Efficiency
Key experience as Production Team Leader:

Machine Shop Supervisory excperience within a lean manufacturing environment
Excellent knowledge of maching, able to train oethers
Great communication skills and mentoring skills, leading by example
Continous improvement focused
Good attention to detail
Approachable, fair but a strong leader
