Production Team Leader

We’re hiring for a hands-on Production Team Leader to join a leading specialist manufacturer based in Droylsden, Manchester. Leading the production team will involve distributing work to meet order fulfilment dates, as well as motivating and organising the team to get the best performance.

What will you be doing as a Production Team Leader?
* Working with Production Planning and the Production Manager to ensure production jobs are completed in line with plans
* Monitoring and coaching the team to ensure manufacturing demands are met
* Ensuring that the team adheres to the correct processes and procedures
* Providing the team with a regular briefing to keep them aware of events and news from within the company
* Helping to identify and recommend potential process improvements
* Managing any performance issues or conflict within the team
* Carrying out regular 1:1s and identifying needs for training
What do you need?
* GCSE Maths & English - Grade C or above (or equivalents)
* NVQ or ILM Level 3 qualification or higher would be an advantage
* Three or more years’ experience working in product assembly manufacturing
* Experience in a people management role: Production Supervisor / Team Leader etc. would be preferred
* Any experience working with electrical/electronic products beneficial
* Excellent communication and coaching skills
* The ability to read and understand product drawings
