A leading design and manufacturer of complex electro-mechanical systems for the automotive industry are looking for a up and coming Production Support Engineer to join their continuously growing business in Bicester, Oxfordshire. They have 20+ years in the industry and they are looking to add a Production Support Engineer to their Bicester, Oxfordshire team.
About the role: As a Production Support Engineer you will be responsible for the overall equipment effectiveness through effective preventative maintenance and corrective actions to reduce equipment downtime. Additionally, you will be providing engineering support to the operations and ensuring continuous improvement.
Duties will include:
Collaborate with Operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production output.
Conduct weekly reviews with the Production team to address issues, enhance assembly capacity, and deepen product knowledge.
Develop test rigs and software for product verification purposes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facilities, equipment, and processes cost-effectively.
Implement improvements following production issues to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications and Experience:
HNC or above in electronics
Have experience working in high-precision electronics manufacturing environments.
Experience in electronic instrumentation.
Kowledge of repair fault finding and minor design.
Skills and Attributes
Commitment to continuous improvement.
Exposure to ERP systems.
Proven ability to contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
Strong decision-making skills with a bias for action.
