Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Howden (Goole)
Salary: £35,000
A fine opportunity to join an established business in the heart of Howden. Our client is a producer of specialty produce and is looking for a production supervisor to join their team. The position is working a 5-day working week on an alternating rota to include weekends and bank holidays so would suit someone who has a flexible lifestyle with production experience looking for a change or wanting a step up.
Responsibilities
- Plan and organise the people resource on the line to ensure efficient output.
- Ensure all hygiene and H&S rules are adhered to by all operatives.
- Ensure all production KPI’s are achieved.
- Drive efficiencies within the line and dept.
- Ensure pre-production startup checks are completed.
- Ensure all waste is kept to a minimum.
- Ensure all orders are produced to a high standard and to specification.
- Motivate the team.
- Feedback all quality issues to management.
- Ensure staff are adequately trained and report gaps where applicable.
- Run production check sheets.
- Place orders for packaging as required.
- Complete stock takes.
- Monitor line performance.
- Ensure staffing levels are at optimum levels.
- Carry out QC checks.
- 5-day rota including bank holidays and weekends.
- Circa 45hrs per week.
Required experience/skills
- Previous experience as a team leader/supervisor in a packaging environment beneficial.
- Production experience.
- Working to targets.
- Motivating colleagues.
- Positive can-do attitude.
- Flexible.
