Our client is a family own manufacturer that operates across a wide range of market sectors with manufacturing plants both in the UK and across the world.
They are currently looking to recruit a Production Supervisor for their Upholstery manufacturing site in Essex.
Reporting to the Production Manager your main tasks will be to work with their Production Scheduler to ensure production plans delivered whilst also leading a team of up to 30 people ensuring products are manufactured safely and produced with a continuous focus on quality.
On a day to day basis you will:
Lead your team to deliver daily manufacturing requirements
Working closely with the Production Scheduler using SAP
Manage the creation and delivery of the daily production plan.
Carry out Stage kitting and prepare build stages for single piece flow production.
Reviewing daily performance to Safety, Quality, Cost & Delivery (SQCD) KPI’s and ensure effective corrective actions are in place for any deviation to agree targets.
Suitable candidates for this production supervisor role in Essex must have:
A proven previous experience within a Manufacturing operation having successfully lead teams
Have a good working knowledge of production planning using SAP
Ideally you will also have Upholstery experience although this is not essential.
You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to create a positive working culture within you team to ensure products are produced inline with specifications within this fast paced environment.
