Production Planner
£30-34k, Knaresborough, training and progression, graduate role

Production Planner required for a fast-paced and challenging role in manufacturing. The role would suit either someone with previous work-based experience or graduates with a relevant degree in manufacturing or engineering. The role offers a great opportunity to join an international company who are able to offer excellent career development opportunities.

As the Production Planner, you will be responsible for:
Production and demand planning effectively to ensure on-time delivery to customers
Developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs
Developing a working knowledge of the company's products and processes to ensure optimal scheduling, rescheduling and load leveling
Building strong customer relationships and providing an excellent level of service
Reviewing and improving processes where possible
Attending planning review meetings to aid with prioritisation and coordination of activities·
Maintaining planning parameters
Identify and manage end of serial production to minimise the risk of obsolescence write-off
Working with the project team to co-ordinate new product launches
Manage parts through the supply chain as required
Translating customers forecasts into SAP, Review demand forecasts at multiple levels
Create and maintain production plan, in line with capacity

The role Production Planner would suit a candidate with:
Ideally previous planning experience in a manufacturing environment or Graduates with a relevant degree in manufacturing, or engineering
Great organisational skills, proactive and with a logical and analytical approach
Good problem solving skills adaptable and flexible
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience of MRP or ERP SAP would be an advantage
Any experience in demand planning would be of interest
Your own transport is essential
